9/19/07 -- Widener gave a strong effort, but it was not enough against Swarthmore in a 2-0 road loss.

The Garnet (5-1-2) scored just 19 seconds into the match when Ladule Lako Lo Sarah tallied into an empty net. He scored another in the 65th minute off a pass from Patrick Christmas.

Lako Lo Sarah ended with four shots for Swarthmore, which finished with a 15-4 edge. Ryan Sutcliffe made four saves.

Sophomore Marty Squicciarini (Lansdale, PA) made two saves for the Pride (3-4), who have allowed two goals or fewer in four contests this season.

Widener is home Saturday against Wesley at 4:00 pm as part of a doubleheader with the women's team. The women's match against Arcadia starts at 7:00 pm.
