9/1/07 -- Widener gave its best in the season-opener against 25th-ranked York (PA), but was dealt a 6-0 loss at the Bridgewater Tournament in Bridgewater, VA.

The Pride (0-1) got four saves from sophomore Alee Gunter (Maple Shade, NJ) and three from freshman Christine Langelier (Bellingham, MA). It was the team's first game after competing last season in the ECAC South Tournament.

Erin Kuhn scored twice for the Spartans (1-0) with Emily Sullivan and Kali Macgregor notching a goal and an assist apiece. Kristy Catelli made two saves.

Widener on Sunday battles Bridgewater (VA), beginning at 4:00 pm.
