Meghan Walton

  • Title
    Assistant Volleyball Coach
Meghan Walton enters her first season as an assistant women's volleyball coach in 2021.

Walton returns to Chester nearly a decade after etching her name in the Pride record books as a player. Her 2,776 career digs rank first all time in school history while her 141 service aces rank fifth. As a junior, she set the records for most digs in a single season (806) and most digs in a single game (55) – marks that still stand to this day. A back-row force in the conference, Walton led the MAC Commonwealth in digs in each of her final two seasons and earned a Second Team All-Conference nod for an impressive senior campaign. Off the court, she was named to three consecutive MAC Academic Honor Rolls and served as the co-vice chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Shortly after graduation, Walton made her coaching debut at the high school level as an assistant varsity volleyball coach for the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur and most recently served as an assistant varsity coach for Garnet Valley High School in 2016.

The Delaware County native earned her B.A. in Middle Level/Elementary Education from Widener in 2013 and currently works as sixth grade math teacher for Garnet Valley Middle School.
