Jillian Loyden is in her third season as an assistant coach for the Pride. She is primarily responsible for the training and development of the Pride goalkeepers.

In her two seasons on the sidelines, Loyden has most notably mentored standout netminder Olivia Pfautz. The Pride goalkeeper made the All-Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth First Team in each of the last two seasons after registering six clean sheets in both years as well as the Academic All-MAC Team this past fall. In her senior season, Pfautz also ranked second in the league in saves per game (5.69), tied for third in shutouts (6) and fifth in save percentage (.791).

Aside from coaching, Loyden has been a goalkeeper of the United States Women’s National Team since 2010 and also has played in both the Women’s Professional Soccer league and the National Women’s Soccer League. She is a member of Sky Blue FC and also has competed for St. Louis Athletics, the Chicago Red Stars and for magicJack.

In addition, Loyden was on the roster for the United States’ silver medal squad at the 2011 Women’s World Cup and was an alternate for the gold medal team at the 2012 Olympics. She also competed for the Central Coast Mariners in Australia’s W-League and was tabbed the 2009 Goalkeeper of the Year.

At the collegiate level, Loyden was a four-year letterwinner at Villanova. She was most notably named an NSCAA First Team All-American and became the first player in Big East Conference history to be named the league’s goalkeeper of the year three times.

For her career accomplishments which date back to the scholastic level, Loyden was recently inducted into the New Jersey Soccer Hall of Fame as the South Jersey Soccer Hall of Fame. She earned her bachelor’s degree in comprehensive science from Villanova in 2007 and holds an NSCAA coaching license.
