Autumn Herring is in her third season as an assistant coach with the Widener women’s soccer team. She assists head coach Dan Blank with all aspects of the program.
Herring, a native from Barnegat, N.J, was a standout student-athlete on the women’s soccer team at Ramapo. She accumulated 38 points on 12 goals and 14 assists in her career and earned All-New Jersey Athletic Conference postseason laurels all four years at Ramapo, which included earning a place on the first team as a senior captain in 2015. Furthermore, the midfielder was actively involved with the athletics department as a team representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Herring gained significant experience with coaching soccer to youth players of all ages. She conducted one-on-one training sessions, trained academy level teams and ran her own specialized classes. In addition, she helped coach boys and girls between the U-10 and U-18 age groups during Ramapo summer camp and coaching clinics.
Herring graduated from Ramapo College with a degree in communications in 2016. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Public Administration from Widener in the summer of 2018.
