Glenroy Chapman is in his third season as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Widener University. He is responsible for assisting head coach Brent Jacquette with all aspects of the program.
Chapman’s extensive coaching experience includes providing leadership and assistance in a multitude of roles since 2014. His coaching positions have included serving as an assistant coach at Triton High School, the head coach of the GPS Dragons at the U-9 boys level and the GPS director of coaching for the South Harrison Soccer Club.
As a collegian, Chapman was a four-year starter at La Salle University. The midfielder racked up 26 career points on 10 goals and six assists between 2009 and 2013 and was named to the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Tournament Team as well as the league’s all-rookie team during his career. He also helped the Explorers advanced as far as the Atlantic 10 championship match.
Chapman, who is also currently the head coach of GPS Mantua for fifth and sixth grade boys, earned his bachelor’s degree in American Studies with minors in history and education from La Salle in 2013. He also earned his National E Coaching License this past March.
