Jeff Robinson enters his second season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Widener University. He is responsible for assisting head coach Chris Carideo with all aspects of the program.
Prior to his arrival at Widener, Robinson served as a special assistant for three seasons at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) after a decorated playing career at the institution as a student-athlete. He assisted with recruiting, player development and was responsible for the promotion and advertisement of games and fundraising events.
As a collegian, Robinson helped WPI register a combined 64-19 ledger over three seasons and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament twice. During his senior campaign, the standout guard was most notably a NCAA Division III All-American and the NEWMAC Player of the Year. Furthermore, he was recognized as an All-NEWMAC First Team selection and a NEWMAC All-Academic Team honoree twice while also landing on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for his successes on the court and in the classroom.
Robinson earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from WPI in 2011. He has been a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America since 2008 and also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.
