Widener University Athletics

Ian Simon is in his ninth season as a full-time member of Widener’s athletic department. Simon coordinates fundraising efforts for the athletic department as well as all the fundrasing duties for the men’s basketball squad. He also plays a key role in all the team camps hosted by the squad and is an active member in the squad’s day-to-day operations. One of the school’s top recruiters, he has helped Widener to four NCAA Tournament berths, three Commonwealth Conference titles and a 2006 appearance in the "Sweet 16." Prior to joining Widener in 2003, he was a graduate assistant coach one season at Gettysburg College. Simon is a 2001 graduate of Widener University with a degree in Sport Management.
