Fran Murray is in his first season with Widener University as an equipment manager.
Murray spent 39 seasons at the University of Pennsylvania, working with 33 teams, and was named the Football Man of the Year in 2016. He has been on the sidelines for 17 of Penn's 18 Ivy League championships on the gridiron.
He also has experience as a gameday sideline assistant for the Carolina Panthers and was the visiting clubhouse attendant for the Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars of the USFL from 1983-85.
Murray resides in Holmes, Pa. with his wife Joyce. They have two children, Jennifer and Franky.
