Nick Crowle is in his fifth season with Widener Football in 2025-26 and third season as Defensive Coordinator.
 
The 2024 season showed a top 25 nationally ranked defense in sacks (20th) and TFLs (20th). Crowle also led a 36th ranked red zone defense and coached a First Team AFCA All-American Defensive End Jalen Walker.
 
In 2023, Crowle developed and reshaped the defense to improve from the 2022 squad to 20.1 PPG, 267.7 YPG, and 4.2 Yds/Play. Crowle’s defense would rank first in interceptions, fifth in takeaways, sixth in blocked kicks, and seventh in pass efficiency. The defense squad would also hold 15th in 3rd Down Defense, 27th in yards per play, and 34th in total defense in the nation.
 
Crowle returned to the Pride in March 2023 after a prior stint at The College of St. Scholastica in Deluth, Minn. Currently Crowle serves as the Defensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator where he builds the Pride’s vision and future based on directives of Head Coach Mike Barainyak for a championship program. He also is responsible for all defensive organization where he sets staff roles and responsibilities, designs playbooks, and helps breakdown opponent film while also calling defensive plays in game.
 
From January 2021 to March 2023, Crowle held numerous positions at The College of St. Scholastica as Special Team’s Coordinator, Defensive Line Coach, and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. Crowle would earn a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Certification while in Deluth, Minn.
 
Crowle would serve as an Assistant Coach with the Pride from May 2019 to January 2021. Before joining Widener, Crowle did a short stint with Yale Football as a Summer Intern from June to August in 2018.
 
While at Yale, Crowle would be a five year member of the Bulldogs with an extra year of eligibility due to a medical reason. He would be team captain of team 146 in his final year of play in 2018 and be apart of the 2017 Ivy League Championship Team. From 2014-18 Crowle would be a five year starting defensive tackle.
 
Crowle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University in 2019 and currently resides in Ridley Park, Pa. with his wife Tiffany and daughter Rhegan.
