Ken Andres returns for his third season on the Widener coaching staff, working with the specialists following an extensive career as a soccer player and official. Andres played for the 1971 New Jersey State Champion Steinert High School (Trenton, NJ) and the 1974 Swarthmore College Div. III National Finalist teams.
Following his playing career, Andres became an NCAA soccer referee and earned a National Referee designation with the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association. He worked in the ACC, Atlantic Ten, Big East, Big Ten, Conference USA, Ivy and Patriot Leagues and officiated 54 college National Semi-Final or Championship Final games.
Prior to joining the Widener coaching staff, Andres was a volunteer kicking coach at Collingswood High School (NJ).
A graduate of Swarthmore College and Capital University Law School, he is a partner in the law firm of Andres & Berger, P.C. in Haddonfield, N.J. Andres is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Appointed to serve on multiple New Jersey Supreme Court Committees, he was elected as President of the Association of Trial Lawyers - New Jersey, and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Drexel University Law School.
