Widener University Athletics

Dontavius Smith is in his second season as the wide receivers coach at Widener. Smith arrived after coaching the two seasons at River Ridge High School in Woodstock, GA. He coached the receivers, defensive backs, special teams and was the assistant defensive coordinator. Smith also coached at Metter High School in Metter, GA from 2005-09, helping with the receivers, defensive backs and quarterbacks in addition to assisting the offensive coordinator. He also coached girls basketball at Metter High School and boys basketball at Norcross High School in Norcross, GA. He competed three seasons at Georgia Southern University as a wide receiver and defensive back.  Smith graduated Georgia Southern in 2008 with a B.S. in Kinesiology with a minor in Coaching.
