Connor Ferst is in his first season as a graduate assistant on the Widener football staff. He will oversee the wide receivers.
Ferst spent the previous four seasons with the Temple University football program in a variety of roles, including as a student offensive coaching assistant. In that position, he was responsible for collaborating with the coaching staff on a weekly game plan, analyzing film, signaling plays during practice and games, and recruiting. He was on staff in 2016 when the Owls won the American Athletic Conference Championship under Matt Rhule, now the head coach of the Carolina Panthers.Â
Prior to joining Temple, Ferst worked for two years at Valley Forge Military Academy, as the head wrestling coach, quarterbacks coach for the football team, and as the assistant to the athletic director.Â
The Conshohocken native earned his BS in Sport and Recreation Management from Temple.
