Chardonnay Hope enters her first season as an assistant field hockey coach at Widener.
Hope comes to the Pride after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. She has also spent time as a goalkeeping skills coach for the Delaware Sharks and an assistant for Washington College.
A two-time team captain, Hope had a standout career as a goalkeeper at Kutztown University, earning First Team All-PSAC and Second Team NFHCA All-American honors as a senior. She finished her career with 23 wins, 214 total saves and a 1.45 goals-against average, good for third all-time in school history.
A New Castle, Del. native, Hope comes to Widener after graduating from Kutztown University in 2018 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
