CHESTER, Pa. – Day two of the Paul Donahue Invitational shows two new Widener Men's Track and Field top 100 times in the nation.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON FRIDAY
On Friday evening,
David Abbey and
Michael Carolan would run in the 5000-meter. Abbey led with a 15:24.08 and Carolan clocked a 15:30.09.
In the shot put,
Ashton Brown threw a 13.73-meter toss alongside
Kevin Williams who threw a 12.02-meter distance. Brown ended the day with a 32.91-meter discus.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON SATURDAY
Troy Wallace opened Saturday with a 16.85 110-meter hurdles.
Alexander Szymanik would clock an 18.83.
Elijah Celestin clocked a 50.81in the 400-meter while Mikael Palmieri saw a 51.70.
Erastus Ndirangu opened his day in the 100-meter with an 11.27 final time.
Patrick Lamb did the same with an 11.51 final.
David Johnson took fourth in the 800-meter to move into the top 100 in the nation. Johnson clocked a 1:53.93.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Tristen Silverstein would show a 1:01.43 while Xaiver High (24.00) and
Edward Abel (26.12) took on the 200-meter.
The Pride's 4x400-meter relay team of Celestin, Johnson,
Xavier Nesbeth, and
Derek Rudd moved into the top 75 in the nation with a 3:20.81.
Alex Stempin would throw a 51.42-meter javelin to lead
Jackson Brink (46.94-meters) and
Colin Mahon (46.65-meters).
Jacob Grossman took second overall in the long jump after marking a 6.92-meter mark.
In the pole vault, Aiden Wilson toped a 4.20-meter height while Williams ended the meet with a fifth overall finish in the hammer throw with a 42.07-meter distance.

Widener heads into a split weekend in Philadelphia for Penn Relays and Bethlehem, Pa. for the Covert Classic. Penn Relays is set to begin on Thursday, April 23 while the Covert Classic begins on Friday, April 24.
