HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
Widener threatened early in the top of the first as Elizabeth Carney singled and Liza Flavin followed with a double, but the Pride were unable to capitalize, leaving one runner stranded.
Penn State Brandywine seized momentum in the bottom half of the inning, erupting for six runs on six hits, highlighted by a two-run home run to left field and a pair of RBI singles to take a 6-0 lead.
Widener answered in the second inning. Jocelin Mayorga opened the frame with a single and Hayden Sissons worked a walk to put two runners aboard. After another walk loaded the bases, Carney delivered an RBI single up the middle to score Sissons and put the Pride on the board, cutting the deficit to 6-1.
However, Penn State Brandywine responded again in the bottom of the second, capitalizing on defensive miscues. The Lions plated four runs in the inning, with three coming unearned, extending the lead to 10-1.
From there, Widener's pitching settled in. The Pride defense held Penn State Brandywine scoreless over the final three innings, including a clean fourth inning from Hallie Wiener in relief. Despite a hit-by-pitch in the fifth giving Widener a baserunner, the Pride were unable to mount a late rally as the game concluded after five innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
Game two opened as a pitcher's duel, with both teams trading scoreless innings through the first three frames. Widener put runners aboard early, including a walk from Charlie Tong in the first and a double from Katelyn Tong in the second, but were unable to convert.
Penn State Brandywine broke through in the bottom of the fourth. After two runners reached and advanced into scoring position, a two-RBI single up the middle gave the home team a 2-0 advantage.
Widener continued to battle and cut into the deficit in the sixth inning. Jocelin Mayorga sparked the rally with a double to right center and later came around to score on an RBI double from Katelyn Tong, trimming the score to 2-1.
The Pride delivered the decisive blow in the top of the seventh. Brenna Quinn led off the inning with a solo home run to center field, knotting the game at 2-2. After Sara Clymer came off the bench and doubled to keep the pressure on, Widener capitalized with two outs. Elizabeth Carney ripped a triple down the right field line, driving in the go-ahead run to give the Pride a 3-2 lead.
Penn State Brandywine threatened in the bottom of the seventh, using a walk and a stolen base to put the tying run in scoring position. However, the Widener defense held firm, recording the final out on a fly ball to secure the 3-2 comeback victory.
