DALLAS, Pa. – Widener Men's Soccer unable to overcome 1-0 deficit against the Misericordia University Cougars.
The Pride are now 1-6-2 on the season and 0-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Widener opened with early offensive efforts, as Max Hartke recorded the Pride's first shot in the 5th minute. Michael Burckley and Jordi Lopez each had chances midway through the half, but it was Misericordia who broke through late. Scoring the first goal of the game at the 42-minute mark, giving them a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
- Widener responded with a surge, outshooting Misericordia 12–6 after the break. Hartke fired off back-to-back attempts in the 55th minute, and Lopez nearly equalized in the 58th minute with a shot on target that was saved. Salvatore Coppala delivered the Pride's best chances late, testing Misericordia's goalkeeper twice in quick succession during the 77th minute. Willey kept Widener in the contest with two key saves in the second half. Despite generating consistent pressure and eight corner kicks overall, Widener was unable to find the equalizer as the match ended 1-0 in favor of Misericordia.
