2025 Field Hockey Schedule Unveiled

7/16/2025 1:00:00 PM

CHESTER, Pa. - Head Field Hockey Coach Melissa McCarthy has announced the 2025 schedule on Wednesday afternoon, which includes 11 home games on Dixon Field.

This season, the Pride's game slate features a majority of home contests as 11 of the 17 games are set on Edith R. Dixon Field. The field hockey season also features a full slate of MAC Commonwealth opponents and will conclude with the MAC Commonwealth postseason tournament in early November.

"We are very excited to get the 2025 season underway in August," said Coach McCarthy. "Opening weekend starts off strong for our young team, featuring a pair of NCAA qualifying teams in Bryn Mawr and Stevens. Our non-conference slate welcomes familiar local foes to the schedule and closes out with new 2026 MAC Commonwealth member, Neumann. This schedule will challenge our ability to compete against many different playing styles and will prepare us for closely contested MAC Commonwealth games in October."

The 2025 Schedule
The opening weekend of play is no walk in the park as the Pride head to Bryn Mawr on August 29 to be quickly followed by NCAA tournament team and  MAC Freedom opponent Stevens who made it to the first round. A short August schedule will help prepare the Pride for a six game September with key games against Delaware Valley, Washington College, Drew, and Immaculata. September beings with a trip to Doylestown, Pa. on September 5 as the Pride look to extend their seven game win streak against Delaware Valley. Centennial Conference's Washington College makes a trip to Dixon Field on September 10 as the Pride look to reverse last year's result. September comes to an end with another revenge game against DeSales after falling 3-2 in OT last season.

October welcomes the MAC Commonwealth's newest member, Neumann on the 10th as the two battle out the end of non-conference play. Conference play begins on October 11 against Stevenson, this year on Dixon Field where the Pride hold a 3-2 advantage in the past five years against the Mustangs. The Pride's conference play continues to hold top teams in the nation as Blue and Gold host two top 25 teams from last season's rankings, York and Messiah on Cotober 15 and November 1. A final game in October is set for the 29th against Eastern where the Pride handled the Eagles with a 3-1 victory in St. David's Pa.

Postseason play beings on November 5 with the semifinals.
