Clark Trowbridge shows ice in her veins with final offensive play in Widener Women's Lacrosse win over Ursinus.
The 10-9 win moves the Pride to 4-5 in the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pride opened the game with some heat as Edwards won the first draw control to give her a free-position goal at 14:06. Another Edwards draw control would be won and Mantz saw her first goal of the game on a free-position shot two minutes later. Polacek registered her first save at 11:04. Alyssa Ruggiero answered a Bears goal for her seventh of the season at 8:56. To end the quarter, Polacek kept the attacking Bears quiet as the Pride ended the quarter down 4-3.
- First year Lucia Visalli won the quarter draw control before the Bears forced a turnover. The Pride defense stood tall to force an Ursinus clock violation and earn a man-up opportunity. Gianna Scaliti would tie the game at four at 12:15. The Pride offense began to quiet as the Bears went on a 3-0 run. A Claire Lynch goal at :58 would send the Blue and Gold into half down 7-5.
- A forced yellow card just before the first half ended would give the Pride a power-play to begin the final 30 minutes of play. Mingioni found the back of the cage for her 11th goal of the season, cutting the deficit to one. Ruggiero caused a turnover as the defense pushed the Bears back. Trowbridge tied the game at 9:56 with an unassisted goal. A quiet stretch of the third quarter showed Polacek making big saves and caused turnovers by Trowbridge and Thornton. Ciana Suydam forced a turnover in the midfield allowing Mingioni to score with three seconds left to take a 8-7 lead.
- Another caused turnover from Thornton would hold the Bears back but they clawed back with two goals to take a 9-8 lead with 9:57 left. Makayla Cox saw a caused turnover after a card giving her a ground ball as well. Mantz tied the game with 3:39 left, also picking up an extra man opportunity. The game became a nail bitter as the Bears forced a clock violation with 1:11 left. A forced turnover from Thornton gave the ball back to the Blue and Gold with :31 left. Out of the timeout, Trowbridge worked some magic and found the back of the cage with :19 remaining in the game. A final draw control from Trowbridge sealed the game with a final score of 10-9.
