CHESTER, Pa. – Women's Lacrosse was able to score a late goal to tie the game, but ultimately suffered their third loss of the season against the Moravian Greyhounds.
The Pride fall to 0-3 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Moravian struck first, but Widener responded with a dominant offensive stretch as Gianna Scaliti got Widener on the board with an assist from Alex Krohn. Ava Leporati followed up and scored a power-play goal off a feed from Scaliti to give Widener the lead. The Pride were not done as Jessica Mantz and Clark Trowbridge extended the lead with back-to-back goals, both assisted by Krohn. Moravian cut into the lead late, but Widener ended the quarter ahead 4-2.
- Moravian opened the quarter with a goal, but Alex Krohn quickly responded with a goal of her own, assisted by Leporati. Moravian then came storming back with three straight goals, taking a 6-5 lead. Clark Trowbridge evened the score just before halftime with another goal assisted by Krohn, sending the teams into the break tied 6-6.
- Moravian regained the lead early, but Widener answered with an explosive stretch started by Claire Lynch and Chloe Mingioni back-to-back goals to reclaim the lead for Widener. Gianna Scaliti netted her second of the game off an assist from Mingioni to extend the Pride lead and give them a 9-7 lead entering the fourth.
- Moravian fought back with three straight goals to take the lead. Jessica Mantz provided a key late goal for Widener, tying the game with 1:57 left to play. Neither team was able to score before the end of regulation and the game would enter overtime tied 10-10. Moravian took little time to score in overtime, giving them the 11-10 win.
