HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Pride offense got rolling quickly with a Trowbridge draw control and an Edwards goal less than a minute into the game. Another draw control for Trowbridge led to an Alex Krohn goal. Edwards picked up a hat trick to end the quarter with back-to-back goals.
  • The Knights struck first five minutes into the second quarter. Makayla Cox snagged a ground ball after a Knights turnover at 10:11. A caused turnover by Kasey Thronton allowed the Mantz to score an unassisted goal to take a 7-1 lead. Mantz saw a free-position goal at 3:45 and Trowbridge wrapped her day of scoring up at 2:33 with an unassisted goal. The Pride would see five quick shots in the final minute of play to head into half up 9-2.
  • Out of half, Trowbridge won another draw control which gave Lynch a quick goal from Krohn. Edwards continued to add to her stat lines with a goal from Krohn at 12:54 to take an 11-3 lead. Less than a minute later, Edwards saw another goal with an assist from Chloe Mingioni. A quick 4-0 stretch to end the quarter would see goals from Krohn, Mantz, Lynch, and Scaliti to end the quarter 16-3.
  • For the final 15 minutes of play, Warlow would come into the cage. On the opposite side, Mingioni would find the back of the cage. Cox snagged a ground ball and would rip a shot that would be high. Mingioni saw another goal at 9:59 to take a 15 point lead.
