Claire Lynch highlighted a new career high in caused turnovers as Widener Women's Lacrosse struggled in the second half against Wooster.
The 13-8 loss moves the Pride to 1-5 in the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pride opened with a hot stretch in the first 15 minutes of play. A forced turnover by Makayla Cox would highlight the first play to give Trowbridge her first ground ball. Another Cox caused turnover allowed for a transition goal by Alyssa Ruggiero for her first of the game and fifth of the season at 10:37. Alex Krohn saw an assist. A Fighting Scots foul allowed a Pride free-position shot by Jessica Mantz for a woman-up goal for her seventh of the season at 6:42. Trowbridge capitalized on a Fighting Scots foul to take a 3-0 lead at 5:03 as Krohn picked up another assist. Lynch kept the attacking Fighting Scots quiet with a caused turnover that would end the quarter with a 3-0 lead.
- Gianna Scaliti opened the quarter to answer two Fighting Scots goals at 10:34 on a woman-up opportunity as Chloe Mingioni dished a pass in. The score was 4-2 in favor of the Pride. Cox saw another caused turnover to help Jordyn Edwards draw a foul for a free-position goal at 7:14. Trowbridge won a draw control at 4:35 and quickly capitalized for her ninth goal of the season while Krohn picked up her third assist of the game. The Pride would head into halftime up 6-5.
- Quick goals on each side would be highlighted with an unassisted Mantz goal at 12:26 to take the lead back. Polacek would make saves to keep the game manageable. Scaliti saw a free-position shot that wouldn't fall at 6:15. The third quarter ended with a Fighting Scots yellow card to give the Blue and Gold the ball to head into the final 15 minutes of play. The score was 8-7 in favor of the Fighting Scots.
- Two back-to-back shots from Trowbridge and Mingioni wouldn't fall but Trowbridge found the back of the cage with another Krohn assist to tie the game at eight. The defense would be pressured for the ladder half of the quarter and would find themselves in a hole. The Pride offense struggled with turnovers to force two Pride timeouts to draw up plays. The game would end with a 5-0 run from the Fighting Scots as the Pride fell 13-8.
