CHESTER, Pa. – Widener women's lacrosse suffered its second loss of the season against the Haverford Fords.

The Pride Fall to 0-2 on the season.

• Chloe Mingioni played a strong game with 2 goals on only 3 shots. She also contributed with 1 assist
• Claire Lynch also notched 2 goals and added an assist, while securing 5 draw controls.
• Jessica Mantz and Clark Trowbridge each found the back of the net for Widener

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Widener started strong, with Jessica Mantz opening the scoring off an assist from Alex Krohn. Chloe Mingioni extended the lead shortly after with a free-position goal. However, Haverford responded with five unanswered goals to take a 5-2 lead at the end of the quarter.
• The defensive units tightened up, with Haverford adding two more goals while Widener's Alyssa Ruggiero scored just before halftime, cutting the deficit to 7-3.
• Claire Lynch converted on a power play to bring Widener closer, but Haverford responded with two more goals to maintain control at 10-4.
• Widener made a late push with goals from Clark Trowbridge, Chloe Mingioni, and Claire Lynch, but Haverford's consistent offense proved too much. The Fords scored twice late to seal a 14-7 victory.
