MADISON, N.J. – Friday night in the pool showed fourth conference win over FDU-Florham.
The 154-53 win moves the Pride to 4-1 in the regular season and 4-0 in MAC standings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Matthew Niro,
Michael Machristie,
Adam Bailey, and
John Drobnock took first in the 200-yard medley relay. The four would win in a 1:43.12.
Bailey's first individual showed a win in the 200-yard free with a final time of 1:59.65.
Benjamin Holub took second with a 2:01.27.
Naveen Boggi led a 1-2 finish in the 100-yard backstroke as he hit the wall in a 1:01.89.
Zach Delgado snuck into second with a 1:04.01.
Another 1-2 came out of the 100-yard breaststroke as Machristie led with a 1:02.33, taking first by five seconds.
Marcus Moreef hit the wall in a 1:07.93 for second.
Sean Lehan changed pace from distance to the 200-yard butterfly where he took first in a 2:07.61.
Collin Ergood took third with a 2:14.85.
Niro splashed to a 22.65 to win by 0.03 in the 50-yard free. Boggi went on to take third with a 23.39.
Delgado led a sweep in the 100-yard free as he touched under 52 seconds in 51.46. Lehan clocked a 52.63 and
Noah Fedo took third in 55.10.
A solo race for Niro in the 200-yard backstroke showed a 2:04.54 while
James Doran took second an event later in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 3:06.51.
Bailey won the 500-yard free by 20 seconds with a final time of 5:13.39.
Niro's day continued in the 100-yard butterfly as he took the race by eight seconds. The senior touched in a 56.26.
Boggi, Ergood, Moreef, and Holub wrapped up the evening with a 1:35.46 in the 200-yard free relay.
