The Pride battled early in the opening set with kills from Gabriella Bottino, Airyn Zimmerman, Julia Schwab, and Mira Canali helping keep the Pride within reach. Despite generating several strong offensive plays, service and attack errors limited Widener's momentum. Stevenson capitalized on those miscues to pull ahead late, taking the first set 25–16.

Widener came out strong in the second set, jumping to an early 10–5 lead behind kills from Benjamin, Chronister, and Kristen Vacca, along with an ace from Bottino. The Pride continued to battle as the Mustangs found their rhythm, tying the score at 16–16 before pulling away with a late 9–2 run to take the set 25–18.

The Pride showed fight in the third, trading points early and rallying behind Bottino's back-to-back service aces and key kills from Benjamin and Zimmerman to stay within striking distance. Widener's blocking duo of Kayla Sicher and Zimmerman provided a spark at the net, but the Mustangs used a late service run to pull away and close the set 25–18, sealing the match in straight sets.
