CHESTER, Pa. – Head Women's Volleyball Coach
Donovan Anglin announced the 2024 schedule which is set to begin in sunny San Juan, Puerto Rico at the end of August.
"We're excited for the upcoming season," said Head Women's Volleyball Coach
Donovan Anglin. "Our three season opener games will be a challenge to play three matches after spending an extended time traveling. Our non-conference schedule was designed to set us up to play another challenging MAC Commonwealth schedule."
The Pride will make the four-hour flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico to play in the Puerto Rico Clasico Tournament. Neutral site games against Buffalo State and Ohio Wesleyan on August 31 will dig into the long season. A quick turnaround the next day against regionally ranked North Park will conclude the Pride's tournament play before the flight back to Chester.
A home opener against Rutgers-Camden is set for September 5, just a few days after Puerto Rico. The Pride take a trip over the bridge to Glassboro, N.J. for their first tri-match of the season against Rowan and Drew. The annual Neumann Knights Invitational will allow the Pride to take on Ursinus (Sep. 13), Cedar Crest (Sep. 14), and DeSales (Sep. 14) to help prepare for their home hosted tri-match later in the month. A busy Saturday for the Pride on September 21 will feature Neumann and NJCU in the Schwartz Center.
To open MAC Commonwealth play, the Pride will head to nearby St. Davids, Pa. for a head-to-head battle against Eastern. Conference play continues on October 10 against Hood in the Schwartz Center as the Blue and Gold look to extend their win streak to nine. A key game against the Messiah Falcons on October 9 will help prepare for regionally ranked Kean. The remainder of the regular season will display two more regionally ranked opponents for the Pride. An away conference game against Stevenson on November 6 will lead into a home hosted game against Salisbury two days later, both ranked opponents. The Pride conclude conference play against last year's third seed York on October 15.
The MAC Commonwealth Conference Tournament is set to begin on November 13. The conference championship game will be played on Saturday, November 16.
