CHESTER, Pa. – Widener baseball fell to the Kean University Cougars on Tuesday by a score of 10-1.
The Pride are 11-17 in the regular season. They are 7-8 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST KEAN
- Kean jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on an RBI single. They would add runs in the second and third innings as the Pride's bats struggled against Kean's pitching. Widener ended the top of the third by recording a double play on defense. Despite having two men on base in the fourth, the Pride were unable to bring one home. After four, Kean led 4-0.
- Both offenses went down in three batters in the fifth inning, with two outs in each half-inning coming on a fly-out. The Cougars would score in each inning for the remainder of the game except in the ninth. Garrett Gordy and Jackson Houy saw time on the mound after Hayden O'Neill pitched for the middle three innings. The Pride prevented a shutout in the bottom of the ninth. DiGuiseppe's RBI single scored Hoffmann. But, Kean retired Widener on the next batter. The Cougars won 10-1.
