HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ARCADIA
- The Knights struck first on a free-position shot nearly two minutes into the game. But, the Pride answered with two goals in the span of almost 90 seconds. The goals came from DeHaven and Alex Krohn. Katelyn Rosini made two saves back-to-back in the middle of the quarter, and the Pride used that momentum to score another goal, this time from DeHaven. Rosini would make another save as Widener led 3-1 after one.
- Arcadia started the second quarter with two green cards. DeHaven and Catherine Scott would each chip in a goal for a four-goal lead. DeHaven secured a first-half hat trick. Both sides saw multiple turnovers before Trowbridge scored Widener's sixth goal of the night. It was a man-up situation. After a Widener green card, the Knights scored two goals to cut the deficit to 6-3 at the half.
- Despite a caused turnover by Arcadia in the third quarter, the Pride responded with a Krohn goal on a Scott assist. It would be one of four goals scored by Widener in the quarter. Even though the visitors scored two goals in 18 seconds with four minutes left, Jessica Mantz scored her initial two goals of her collegiate career in the final minute. The first was on a free-position shot. Widener was up 10-5 through three.
- The fourth quarter began on a Widener turnover and an Arcadia goal. The Pride put up a few shots, but none were finding the back of the net. The Pride played good defense, as they did not allow the Knights to take a lot of shots. With one minute remaining, the Knights scored one more goal for the night. However, Widener won the game 10-7.
