HOBOKEN, N.J. – Kane puts up double digits off the bench in a Widener Men's Basketball loss to Stevens.
The 78-60 loss puts the Pride at 2-5 in the regular season.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Matt Daulerio led the Pride with 11 points and six rebounds.
- Off the bench, Emmett Kane put up 10.
- The Pride shot 33.9& from the floor, 37.5% from three, and saw 26 points off the bench.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Myles Bright's triple three minutes into the first half would put the Pride on the board with a Kevin Schenk assist. A Jacob Aryee three out of a timeout would cut the Ducks lead to four. Turnovers and missed shots would cause issues for the Blue and Gold before the Pride put in subs. Schenk's charity stripe shot at 14:12 put the Pride a five-point deficit. The Ducks jumped to a quick 7-0 run before Luke Mazur drained a triple. A Daulerio block and rebound Kane sent Aryee down the court for a good triple. The back-to-back triples would start a 17-0 run to swing the score to a 24-19 Pride lead with five on the clock. Under one-minute left, Dylan Schlatter's charity stripe shot gave the Pride a one-point lead. At half the Pride were down one.
- A jumper by Daulerio out of half would give the lead back to the Blue and Gold. Shots would fall for the Ducks to take the lead again. Kori Segich snuck in a jumper to cut the lead to five. The Ducks found a groove to put the Pride in a bind before Daulerio put in a free throw. A fast break Bright layup and Daulerio jumper cut the lead to 14. Steven Hamilton found an open triple for his first points of the game at the 8:55 mark. Sean Mizzoni hit triple to allow Segich's jumper to cut the lead to 10. A 14-0 Ducks run would seal their win as Kane put up the final four points in the 78-60 loss.
