CHESTER, Pa. - The Pride see their senior day spoiled in a loss to the Salisbury Seagulls.
The Pride finish the season 17-12 and 3-4 in conference play.

This game was senior day for the team, where four departing Pride players were celebrated for their on and off the court achievements.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The teams would trade runs early, with the Pride down 7-8 to start. The Pride would go on a 4-1 run to tie things up at 16, but a 4-1 Seagull run would have them up17-20. A Herrin attack error would give Widener a 22-25 loss.

Salisbury would start hot, going up 3-6 early in the second. The Pride would regain the lead on a 5-1 run led by two Martucci kills as the score would sit at 15-14. The Seagulls would respond with a run of their own, and a Salisbury kill would see the Pride fall 23-25.

The Seagulls would again start the set strong, as Widener would go down 2-10 to start the third. Salisbury would stay hot, going on a 2-7 to take a commanding 9-21 lead. The Pride would wake up and go on a run to cut the lead some, but a Seagull kill would end the set 15-25.
