CHESTER, Pa. – Women's Soccer was unable to secure victory on senior day against the Eastern University Eagles.
 
The Pride finish the season 6-11 in the regular season and 2-5 in the MAC Commonwealth.
 
BY THE NUMBERS
 

• The Pride took 13 shots (7 on goal). The Eagles took 8 shots (5 on goal).
• Isabella Losada had 1 goal for The Pride.
• The Pride had 3 saves, while Eastern had 6.
• Widener had 5 corner kicks compared to Eastern's 5.

 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 

• Senior day did not start as planned for The Pride as Eastern took an early lead at the 6:14 mark. After conceding the early goal, Widener's defense settled in stopping any attempt the Eagles made to score. Eastern was eventually able to break through The Pride defense, scoring their second goal of the day at the 35:11 mark. The Pride would not go down without a fight, as they cut into the lead at the 44:22 mark thanks to Isabella Losada. The game would go into the half with Eastern leading two to one.

 

• After the half, Widener made adjustments on the offensive side of the ball. The Pride were able to out shoot The Eagles with 9 shots in the second half compared to Eastern's 3 shots. Even though The Pride controlled the game in the second half, The Eagles were able to successfully defend against any shot The Pride attempted. After the dust had settled and the final whistle blew, the final score of the match was Eastern two and Widener one.
