ANNVILLE, Pa. – Chase Diehl of Widener Football garnered MAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending on Sep. 3, 2023, as announced by the Conference Office.
 
Diehl led the Pride offensive to 455 total yards over the 60-minute game. Diehl threw for 70% with 29 completions on 42 attempts and threw for 366 yards. He connected with wide receiver Isaac Hostetter on three touchdown passes and took a quarterback keeper for a one yard run to give the Pride another touchdown. On the day, he totaled five touchdowns. During his reps, Diehl helped hold the team possession time to nearly double the Warriors and accumulated 31 first downs in a 42-21 victory on opening weekend.
 
Diehl and the Pride (1-0, 0-0 MAC) will host FDU-Florham on Saturday afternoon in the first conference game of the season. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
