MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Pride split the two games of their tri-match as they lose their first game to Penn State Behrend before winning their second match with Johnson & Wales(Providence). This was a part of the Morrisville State Tri Match.
The Pride improve to 1-2 on the season as they look to continue improving before their home opener against Haverford College on September 6
th.
HOW IT HAPPENED - MATCH ONE
- Unfortunate late-set errors lead Penn State Behrend to take the first set 21-25.
- Megan Barthol gives multiple assists but the Pride fall 23-25 in the second set.
- Kill from Abigail Herrin gives the team a 25-22 victory in the third set.
- Down 24-25, Hannah Phillips delivers three kills in a row to end the match in the fourth set with a score of 25-27.
HOW IT HAPPENED - MATCH TWO
- Multiple errors cause the Pride to lose 25-12Â in the first set.
- An Azira Benjamin kill seals the second set 25-19.
- The Pride take a back and forth set in the third scoring 25-23.
- Liz Barnes gets multiple kills and assists down the stretch for seal the match in the fourth 25-23.
