ASTON, Pa. - Women's Volleyball lost a battle of close sets to Ursinus College before getting an overtime win against Moravian. 

The Pride move to 4–4 on the season. Conference play will begin Wednesday, September 20th against Messiah University. 

BY THE NUMBERS 

• Lilyanna Martucci and Abigail Herrin tie for lead in kills with 12 in game one 

• Lilyanna Martucci led in kills in game two with 20

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST URSINUS 

• The first set was highlighted by Abigail Herrin kills as the Pride win 25-22 

• Lilyanna Martucci's kills take the Pride to 25-25 in set two, but the team loses 27-25 

• Unfortunate errors cause Widener to lose the third set 25-14 

• The final set was a long one where the teams combined for 64 points, but the Pride lose the set and match 33-31 

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MORAVIAN 

• Megan Barthol sends assists all over the court in set one as the Pride take a 25-12 win 

• The second set was a true team effort capped off with a Shannon Toomey kill, Widener wins 25-15 

• Moravian takes the second set convincingly 25-13 

• More errors by Widener see Moravian steal a close set 25-22 

• An overtime set sees Lilyanna Martucci again step up with multiple kills as the Pride seal the game with a 15-10 win

The Pride will continue the Neumann-hosted invitational tomorrow against Cedar Crest College. That game is set to start at 12pm.
