DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Margaret Howe-Consiglio puts up a hat trick along with an assist as the Pride take down Delaware Valley in their first game. The team's defense impressed with a shutout as Widener took a 5-0 victory.
With the win, the Pride improve to 1-0 on the season. They will see their first conference game on October 7
th against Hood College.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST DELAWARE VALLEY UNIVERSITY
- Senior Margaret Howe-Consiglio starts the scoring with a goal late in the first quarter to put the Pride up one.
- Howe-Consiglio continues with a penalty stroke goal in the middle of the second quarter, later adding an assist to Meredith Marsteller before the quarter finishes.
- A slow third sets Arwen Fithan in the cage for the Pride while Howe-Consiglio put another goal on the opposing side.
- The final quarter of play saw shots from graduate student Liv Canterino and Makenzie Adamson's first goal of the 2023 season. The Aggies managed to put shots on the Pride defense but the Blue and Gold held it down.

The Pride heads to Fredericksburg, Va. on Sunday, September 3 to face Mary Washington Eagles in a non-conference game. Game time is set for noon.
