Katie Ward began the scoring day for the Pride three minutes into the game after the Golden Wolves got on the board first. Three saves from a Jamie DeHaven, Chloe Mingioni, and Alex Krohn shots eventually led to a Catherine Scott tying the game at two with an assist from Ward. A minute later Scott grabbed another goal but this time from a Krohn pass. The Pride found themselves in a man-down situation but Sarah Davidson found the back of the cage from a Cristello pass to make the score 4-3. Turnovers from both sides and a couple shots from the Pride offense ended the quarter 4-3 in favor of the Blue and Gold.

The scoring continued for the Pride as they grabbed a goal first almost four minutes into the second. A wide shot from Annalee Doyle on a free position allowed Davidson to grab a ground ball to turn into another free position shot. Ward earned her second goal of the game and her 100th career goal, the score was 5-3. Cristello continued her dominance creating turnovers with another six minutes in which was followed by a shooting fest from Doyle and DeHaven. Krohn found the back of the cage with 6:11 on the clock to double the score in favor of the Pride. Less than a minute later after a DeHaven draw control, Clark Trowbridge grabbed her first goal of the game to make the Golden Wolves call timeout. The Pride capped off the second quarter with two more goals from Mingioni and Ward to make the score 9-3 at half.

Coming out of halftime the Golden Wolves struck first but Trowbridge answered on a man-up goal seven minutes into the quarter. Shots from the Golden Wolves continued to pester Rosini in the cage but all came as saves for the junior. With two minutes left in the quarter Scott scored on another man-up opportunity after a DeHaven ball. Rosini again faced shots from the attacking Golden Wolves but nothing got pas her as the Pride go into the fourth with a 11-4 lead.

The momentum began to change after the Golden Wolves went on a 3-0 run but a Rosini save on a free position shot stopped the swing to allow three consecutive ground ball pickups from Amelia Alminde, Scott, and Trowbridge. A DeHaven goal with 7:04 on the clock swung the momentum back to the Pride as Scott scored man-up with 4:34 remaining to seal the deal.
