Two minutes later with an extra-man opportunity, Wesley Sporer made the score 2-0 with a ball from Bryant Maits for his 29th goal of the season. With 4:04 on the clock, Samuel Haverstrom with a pass from Liam Montgomery scored to increase the Pride lead to three. A fast faceoff win from Jack Witchendahl gave Nick DiCicco his first goal of the game from a Sporer pass. The Pride topped off the scoreless Golden Wolves quarter with a Colin Wingate goal for his fourth of the season from Jimmy Knepp.

The scoring fest continued in the second quarter as Matt Buckey scored a man-up goal two minutes into play. Two more Pride goals came right after the faceoffs from Sporer and Buckley again on man-up opportunities. The score was 8-0 in favor of the Pride. The Golden Wolves first goal came at 9:21 of the quarter but was quickly answered by a Maits goal for his tenth of the season.
