DALLAS, Pa. – A road trip to the Cougars leads to new season highs in a controlling MAC crossover victory.
Following the 16-5 victory, the Pride improve to 5-4 in the regular season and will face their first MAC Commonwealth matchup this coming Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED AT MANGELSDORF FIELD
The Pride were quick to shoot with an immediate draw control by Trowbridge and shot from DeHaven. A successful clear and shot gave Rosini her first save of the game. With nearly a half gone, a draw control from
Katie Ward gives the Pride an offensive opportunity to tie. Trowbridge rips a shot that was high to lead into a DeHaven free position shot that was wide. Third time was a charm with Scott finding the back of the cage to tie with a DeHaven assist. The Pride's only yellow card of the game came at 2:24 of the first quarter to DeHaven which would run the to almost the end of the quarter. After a slow scoring first quarter the Pride were tied at one.
Another draw control for Ward opened the second quarter. With less than a minute into the quarter a ground ball pickup from
Annalee Doyle allowed Scott to take a free position shot. A failed Cougars clear gave
Grace Lindberger a ground ball pickup which led to a Scott goal. With 11:21 on the clock, DeHaven scored on a free position shot to make the score 3-1. With nearly five minutes of time ticking off, a yellow card on the Cougars sent Trowbridge driving for a man-up goal with a DeHaven pass. A draw control win from Ward gave the Pride another offensive run which came away with another Scott goal and DeHaven assist. The score was 5-1 forcing the Cougars to call timeout. After a 5-0 Pride scoring run, the Cougars answered with a Ward shot with a goal to try and close the margin. A
Kaely Cristello caused turnover gave Mingioni a goal with 15 seconds until halftime. Going into half, the Pride had a 6-2 lead.
The scoring continued for the Pride with a quick draw control from Ward and a Trowbridge goal. As the clock ran to 11:25, Trowbridge earned another goal from a Rosini save and successful clear. After a Cougars turnover DeHaven took a shot that was just wide but scored the next shot with a Doyle assist to make the score 9-2. Less than two minutes later Scott scored again to give the Pride an even more commanding lead. A little scoring run from the Cougars dropped the score to a five-goal difference going into the final 15 minutes of play.
The fourth opened with another quick draw control from Ward to give DeHaven a go-ahead goal with a minute run off the clock. A Cristello caused turnover and ground ball gave DeHaven another scoring opportunity which was successful on a Scott pass. Two consecutive Rosini saves allowed for a free position shot and goal from Scott to cap off her day with a season high three goals. A Trowbridge draw control send the Pride into the attacking zone to give a Ward free position shot and a DeHaven goal with a Lucy Bruithaupt assist. Scott's final goal of the game came with just under six minutes left from a DeHaven pass which concluded her scoring day with a season high six goals. Sophomore
Sarah Davidson had her first caused turnover of the season as the final minutes ran down. The Pride topped off their scoring summary with a DeHaven goal on a free position shot to allow DeHaven to see her season high six goals. On the day, the Blue and Gold had 31 shots on goal, 19 ground ball pickups, 14 of 25 draw controls and had eight free-position shots.
