CHESTER, Pa. - Widener women's volleyball head coach Donovan Anglin achieved his 300th career win on Thursday, October 19th after getting a 3-0 sweep against Gwynedd Mercy University. His career record at Widener after 18 seasons comes to 302-288 (.512).

Anglin thanks his teams and staff at Widener for this career accomplishment.

"I feel honored and humbled, but the credit goes to this awesome group of young ladies and to all wonderful teams throughout the years and of course to an excellent group of current and past coaching staff that I call my friends," he said. "Your team becomes your family. I am truly humbled to be part of a great Widener volleyball family."

Coming off a 13-14 2022 season, the Pride improved to 16-10 in the 2023 regular season. Anglin's roster consisted of mostly younger talent but was highlighted by reliable talented senior leaders. The team had seven sweeps on the season including five in a row towards the end of the season. The season ended with another sweep against Albright.

Anglin's highlights through his career at Widener include 11 conference playoff appearances, with seven advancing to the semifinals. For the Pride's 5-3 MAC Commonwealth record, he was the 2022 MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year and coaches the up-and-coming men's team in the spring.

Anglin became the women's team head coach in the 2004 season.
