Megan Barthol hits career milestone
Following the 3-0 win, the Pride advance to 14-8 and remain 2-3 in MAC Commonwealth play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set opened with kills from both sides, but the Pride offense took advantage of a service error from the Griffins to send them on a 13-2 run. Toomey would earn the final kill of the set from a Barthol assist to end set 1 25-15.
- Early in set 1, Barthol would earn her 2000th career assist to set senior teammate Martucci for the second kill of the game for the Pride. Barthol will move into 5th in the All-Time Widener History book with 2027 assists.
- Set two opened with another Pride run early as another Griffin's service errors gave the Pride a 7-2 run. Points flipped sides a couple times but was quickly countered by another Pride run, this time a 12-4 run. The Pride would see the final points from a Toomey-Alex Verchio block and a service ace from Martucci.
- A MaeAlice White sub in the middle of the set helped advance the Pride to a 9-3 run which pushed the score to 22-8. During that time first year Kayla Sicher and Marissa Miller made appearances. A Mira Canali sub would close out the game with a Martucci kill to end set 3 25-11.
UP NEXT
Widener returns to the court on Saturday, Oct. 21 in their final tri-match of the season. The Pride will face Marywood at 1 p.m. and end the day with a match against Arcadia at 3 p.m.
