CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University field hockey team hit the road for the first time this season on Thursday, but could not come back home with a win as Cabrini came away with a 3-1 victory in non-conference action at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The Pride dropped to 1-2 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CABRINI
- The Pride played tough in the first half, as they only allowed one goal on three shots to Cabrini.
- However, the Cavaliers scored twice in third quarter to take a 3-0 lead.
- Margaret Howe-Consiglio managed to get Widener on the scoreboard in the fourth period by scoring her first goal of the season in the 55th minute off a pass from Maddie Hoyer. Howe-Consiglio's goal the 16th score of her career.
