FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Widener women's golf team opened its season on Saturday by competing in the MAC Preview at Golden Oaks Golf Club's par-72 course.
 
Sophomore golfer Brynn Foley paced the Pride with a 20^th-place finish after shooting a 32-over 104 in the tournament, which ended with just one round of play after the coaches decided to cancel Sunday's second round due to inclement weather forecasted for that day.

Courtney Schwegler and Lauren Covert rounded out the lineup with 33^rd and 34^th-place finishes, respectively.

Widener will be back in action on Thursday when they compete in the three-day Arcadia Spring Kick Off Classic at Eagle Ride Golf Club in Lakewood, N.J.
