FLEETWOOD, Pa. - The Widener University women's golf team opened play at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday, completing round one in seventh place out of eight teams. 

Brynn Foley led the Pride with a 100 (+28) for the day, tying for 28th out of the 54 golfer field. Her round was boosted by a strong back nine that included pars on the 13th and 17th holes. 

Brooke Spruill was nect with a 110. Katie Stone shot a 122 and Julia Woodworth carded a 125. 

Round two begins tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
