CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener field hockey team battled hard against Albright in the 2022 MAC Commonwealth Tournament on Monday evening. The Pride fall to Albright in a 1-0 match.
With the loss, the Pride move to 10-8 and remain 5-4 in MAC Commonwealth play.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST THE LIONS
- The Pride and Lions hold each other scoreless after 45 minutes, but the Lions find the back of the cage in the 53rd minute.
- The Blue and Gold took ten shots with half on target. Margaret Howe-Consiglio, Juliana Sanchez, and Makenzie Adamson each had shots on goal.
- Widener also credits five penalty corners.
- Defensively, goalkeeper Lilly Rejrat made three saves and held the Lions to one.
