CHESTER, Pa. - The Widener University women's volleyball team picked up a pair of victories against Neumann and Clarks Summit on Saturday at Schwartz Center.
The Pride swept Neumann, 25-20, 25-18, 25-18, and took all three sets against Clarks Summit, 25-9, 25-12, 25-14.
With the victories, the Pride are 11-3 overall on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST NEUMANN
- The Pride took advantage of Neumann's kill opportunities, as they scored off 22 errors in the match.
- Widener had 32 kills against the Knights. Alnisha Saintilus led Widener with 10 kills.
- Megan Barthol topped the Blue and Gold with 18 assists. Sydney Nichols also had double figures in assists with 11.
- The Pride got great defensive production on the front line, as it had 10 blocks in the match.. Shannon Toomey led the Pride with six
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CLARKS SUMMIT
- The Pride tallied 41 kills on the afternoon and limited the Lady Defenders to only 12.
- Shelby Motz led the team in kills (eight), aces (five), and digs (eight).
- Barthol handed out 20 assists to lead the Blue and Gold. Nichols also dished out 17 assists.

Widener goes on the road Tuesday night to play York in a MAC Commonwealth match. Match is set for 7 p.m.
