GRANTHAM, Pa. - Three players scored multiple goals, but the Widener University women's lacrosse team was upended by the No. 20 Messiah Falcons, 19-7 on Saturday afternoon.

• Gab Cohen led the Pride with three goals, her fifth hat trick of the season.
• Amber Bretz and Katie Ward each tallied twice.
• Bretz also led Widener with 10 draw controls.
• Emma DiGilio contributed with three assists.
• Grace Lindberger had two caused turnovers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 4-0, the Blue and Gold got on the board with a goal from Ward off a feed fromDiGilio.That started a stretch of Widener scoring three of five goals as Cohen and Bretz also scored to pull to 6-3.After a Messiah run, WU scored twice in the final two minutes of the first half as Ward whe Cohen found the back of the net. 

The Falcons methodically pulled away as the second half wore on to create the final.
