CHESTER, Pa. – Four players recorded hat tricks as the Widener University women's lacrosse team topped the Hood Blazers 19-10 on Saturday afternoon.
 
BY THE NUMBERS

• Leading the scoring were Alexis Colella and Gab Cohen who posted four goals apiece.
• Caroline Kelley and Katie Ward each found the back of the net three times.
• Catherine Scott and Chelsea Forsyth both scored twice. Scott added an assist.
• Emma DiGilio had a goal and seven assists, one shy of tying the single-game program record.
• Maddie Medve recorded a season-high 13 saves in net.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Pride jumped to an early 6-1 lead Colella doing the majority of the damage, scoring three times.
• After Hood pulled back to 6-3, Kelley scored twice to extend the advantage.
• Four different players found rope as the Blue and Gold forged ahead 12-4 before the Blazers rallied to make it 12-7 at halftime.
• In the second half, Medve kept Hood at bay with seven saves and two ground balls.
