Eight straight points for Widener in an 89-second stretch put the Blue and Gold up 18-13 before a three for Arcadia closed the quarter. Tight through the second, the score was tied 23-23 past the midway point of the frame before Widener scored eight of the last 10 points, taking a 31-25 lead into halftime.
The third quarter started well for the Pride, who opened the lead to 38-27 at the 6:12 mark on a layup by Samuels on the fast break, courtesy of an outlet pass from Schenk.
