CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener University women's swimming team dropped a tough 133-129 contest to the Arcadia Knights in a Senior Day meet on Saturday afternoon.
Jill Bujanowski picked up a win for WU in the 100 free with a time of 55.37. She later claimed the top spot in the 100 fly with a 59.32. Finishing her individual day, she won the 200 IM in a time of 2:16.85.
In the 100 back, Widener took the top two spots as
Emma Reistle and
Kayli Hernandez finished in 1:04.39 and 1:05.54 respectively. The pair also went 1-2 in the 200-yard event with Reistle finishing in 2:20.30 and Hernandez touching in 2:22.81.
The 200 fly went to the Blue and Gold as
Angelina Franceschini touched first in 2:21.66.
In the 200 medley relay, the quartet of Reistle,
Ana Konyak, Franceschini, and Bujanowski touched first in a time of 1:55.77
Prior to the meet, Widener honored Bujanowski
Sammy Grogan,
Caroline Stang, and
Kristina Taguwa for their four years of service to the program.
The Pride wraps its regular season on Saturday, January 25 at Ramapo. The meet is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
