HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Widener University women's soccer team went up against Haverford College on Saturday afternoon, dropping the match against the Fords by a final score of 3-0.
The game marked the Pride's first loss, making it the best start to a season for the program since 2017.
How it happened
The Fords first goal came in the 16th minute. The lead doubled in the 23rd minute. Haverford got one more before the intermission, heading into the half with a three-goal edge.
The Pride held the Fords scoreless in the second half, but failed to cut into the deficit.
Ashton Houbary made four saves.
Alex Polon fired off the lone shot for Widener.
